Gameweeks 18-21 made up the Festive Fixtures in the Premier League. Hopefully, you kept up with your FPL lineup during that time. If you didn’t, we have a recap of what you missed.
The FPL website provides a Dream Team for each gameweek. Below is the Dream Team for the 4 gameweeks combined. This is the lineup that would have given you the most points over the 4 gameweeks if you didn’t use any transfers during that timeframe.
Goalkeeper - Neil Etheridge (CAR) - 27 - This guy just keeps popping up in dream teams this season. He’s at least a must-have backup and maybe even your #1 keeper.
Defender - Ricardo Pereira (LEI) - 30 - We don’t talk enough about Ricardo. After being the top scoring defender over the festive period, it’s time to fix that.
Defender - Dejan Lovren (LIV) - 26 - Liverpool fans might not love what they saw from him during the City match, but his goal against Newcastle earned him a post on this list.
Defender - Virgil van Dijk (LIV) - 24 - His goal at Wolves, along with the Reds’ consistency until the City match, earned him a spot on this list.
Midfielder - Son (TOT) - 52 - It shouldn’t surprise anyone that he was the highest scorer in all of FPL over this period. Sadly, it comes just as he has to leave for international duty with South Korea.
Midfielder - Paul Pogba (MUN) - 49 - Pogba lovers will say that this is the Pogba that Mourinho was holding down. Pogba haters will say that he put up these points against light competition. The truth is probably somewhere in between.
Midfielder - Mo Salah (LIV) - 38 - Of course he ended up on this list. He just keeps being consistently good and worth owning.
Midfielder - Christian Eriksen (TOT) - 29 - He’s a second half player, so it should be no surprise that he provided some value over the holiday period.
Forward - Harry Kane (TOT) - 39 - Our third Spur on this list was also the highest scoring forward in the entire league. It’s Kane’s time now.
Forward - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ARS) - 32 - Lacazette continues to be an interesting discount option, but Aubameyang is the one putting up the major points. Well worth the money.
Forward - Marcus Rashford (MUN) - 31 - Rashford’s resurgence could easily get lost in the shadow of Pogba’s. However, astute FPL owners are noticing and transferring him in.
