The FPL GW37 All-DGW Team

Our post about the most in-form players playing two matches in Gameweek 34 for Fantasy Premier League was a big hit. In the spirit of that post, we give you a sequel for Gameweek 37. As a reminder, the following eight clubs play only one match:

  • Liverpool (at CHE)
  • Burnley (at ARS)
  • Everton (vs SOU)
  • Bournemouth (vs SWA)
  • Watford (vs NEW)
  • Crystal Palace (at STK)
  • Stoke (vs CRY)
  • West Brom (vs TOT)

You might like your Liverpool players, but will there be a Champions League letdown? Ashley Barnes or Cenk Tosun would be worth keeping as a third forward if they score a goal in their one match. Same thing for JayRod or Rondon from West Brom. And then, there's Zaha and Luka on Crystal Palace. Zaha is hot right now, so that is something to consider.

The other twelve clubs play two matches. Using the Form index from FPL, here is the best roster you can choose among players playing twice in GW37:

Goalkeepers - Mat Ryan - BRI (4.6), Hugo Lloris - TOT (5.4)

Well, this is not going to go so well. Mat Ryan will both Manchester clubs, so no thanks. Lloris is a blunder waiting to happen right now; however, his matchups are West Brom and Newcastle. Start Lloris and hope for the best.

Defenders - Chris Smalling - MUN (5.7), Cesar Azpilicueta - CHE (6.9), Victor Moses - CHE (6.5), Zanka - HUD (4.5), Vincent Kompany - MCI (5.9)

Zanka should take a spot on your bench. You also may want to plan on putting someone first on your bench to provide cover for Kompany. If you say no to Kompany, keep Virgil or a Palace defender you already own instead. You have to like the other three (Smalling, Cesar, Moses).

Midfielders - Raheem Sterling - MCI (9.1), Paul Pogba - MUN (7.9), Christian Eriksen - TOT (9.6), Dusan Tadic - SOU (6.2), Ilkay Gundogan - MCI (5.4)

Come on, the only reason you don't already own Sterling, Pogba, and Eriksen is either financial or because you have principles as a fan of a rival club. Ilkay is probably the biggest risk to not play two matches. He's perfect for your bench. Tadic is in form under Mark Hughes, his current manager, and so you have to love him as a fourth midfielder.

Forwards - Ayoze Perez - NEW (5.4), Gabriel Jesus - MCI (10.4), Alexandre Lacazette - ARS (10.2)

Scott is on record with what he thinks about Ayoze's chances. However, he is the most in-form striker right now. Jesus and Lacazette are safe, except that Lacazette might rotate with Welbs and Auba.

If you have 103.7 pounds and you are committed to only playing guys with two matches, this is your most in-form club. You may not actually do this; however, it definitely gives you plenty of perspective on the moves you should make (especially at midfielder).

Good luck!
